Traders expressed disbelief yesterday, as the price of carbon plunged below 20 euros in the largest fall ever in one day. The dramatic movements may have a serious effect on the trust in the immature CO2 market.
At the end of trading yesterday, the December 2006 contract was traded at EUR 19/tonne on the ECX, down more than 8 euros day on day.
