The summer contract lifted above the 200 NOK/MWh mark this morning, as cold weather forecasts continue to create fear of high spot prices next week. But there are signs of a different weather regime at the end of the 10-day period.
Only since Wednesday, the week-ahead contract has lifted from 231 to a peak of 266.50 this morning, while the summer contract has jumped from 184.50 to 201.50. “The market fears very high spot prices next week, and with the strained capacity situation in Sweden we could see some real high prices in the most busy morning and afternoon hours,” says Lars Aadnesen at WarrenWicklu
