Fear of very high spot prices next week lifted the week-ahead contract to 240 NOK/MWh this morning. The forward prices have moved slightly down from yesterday, but players fear the cold winter will last some more days.
The system price for Friday is expected to drop from today’s 247.13 NOK/MWh due to higher temperatures and lower Friday demand, according to a Danish trader.
