Nordic Market - The weather rules

The EC 00 model continues to play the tricks on the market today as well, contradicting all other models with a chillier and drier weather forecast. SO-05 opened at 162.50 NOK/MWh and has climbed upwards a few notch during the morning hours.
“The weather forecasts this morning are diverse, which explains the movements in the week contracts, but this should not have such a great impact on the summer since we have such a strong hydrological balance,” says trader Jan Strømbergsson at Skellefteå Kraft.  He believes that the summer contract will eventually head down, but that the market currently has difficulty leaving
