The bellwether SO-05 contract traded briefly below 160 NOK/MWh in the early hours today, before it adjusted up a few NOK on a surprisingly dry and chilly EC OO forecast.
“The first forecasts predicted up to 9 TWh the next 10 days, and the market came quickly below 160 NOK/MWh. But then the EC OO came in with a prediction of less than 4 TWh, sending prices up again. However, I don’t think the summer will head above 164.50 today unless we have a surprise in the system price,” says trader Morten Askland at Skagerak Energi.The SO-05 contrac
