Nordic forwards are firming on Monday morning due to dry and cold forecasts, but there is still downside potential, traders said.
The Q1 10 contract was last seen at EUR 32.55/MWh, up EUR 0.30 on Friday's close, while YR 10 was quoted at EUR 32.45/MWh, up EUR 0.30. "Today's forecasts contain some 5 TWh less precipitation than on Friday, and cold weather conditions appear to persist,” a Finnish trader said.
However, extended periods with prices of around EUR 30/MWh were "unsustainable
