Nordic forward prices are rising further on Friday morning on the back of very cold and dry weather forecasts, traders said.
The Q1 11 contract last traded at EUR 60.60/MWh at Nasdaq OMX, up EUR 1.79 from Thursday, while the 2011 contract last traded at EUR 50.55/MWh, up EUR 1.15. "The main driver is the cold and dry weather forecasts. Today, the new monthly forecast confirmed high pressure weather. I do not see any bearish signals at all at the moment,” said Rune Jørgensen, trader at Norwegian utility Helgel
