Nordic power prices are recovering from a soft start on Thursday as players remain concerned about the hydrological situation.
The benchmark Q1 11 contract fell to EUR 58.20/MWh in early trade but has since recovered to a last trade of EUR 59.00/MWh, down 50 cents from Wednesday. "Prices fell on profit-taking triggered by slightly milder weather forecasts. But later forecasts are colder again and the market remains nervous,” said Bjarne Walbech at Nordic Power Trading.
