Nordic forward prices are strengthening in the short end of the curve on Friday morning due to dry and cold weather and an increasing hydrological deficit, traders said.
The Q2 10 contract was last traded at EUR 46.50/MWh at Nord Pool, up EUR 0.75 from Thursday. The Year 11 contract was last seen traded at EUR 41.10 /MWh, up EUR 0.20. "The forecasts are still dry and cold. This is supporting the short end of the curve. It's maybe slightly surprising that the fall in commodity and stock markets has not had a greater influence,” said Rolf-Helge Sørensen,
