Nordic power prices are falling due to a weaker German power market on Friday, but the downside is limited by dry and cold forecast, players said.
The bellwether Q1 11 contract fell to EUR 50.45/MWh in early trade, but was last seen at EUR 50.61/MWh, down 39 cents day on day. "Lower German power prices pushed the contract down early on, but then we had an EC 00 weather forecast that had a drier end to the 10-day period, which may have caused the market to recover somewhat,” said Tobias Söderberg, analyst at Swedish utility Telge K
