Nordeic Market - Up after weak opening

Nordic power prices continued down this morning, following softer prices for German power, carbon allowances and oil. Prices have later recovered, probably due to a drier weather update.
While most models forecast more than twice the normal precipitation amounts in the next ten days, the latest EC 00 model predicts 2.5 TWh less precipitation, providing one explanation why prices are recovering. Nordic Market - Turning south
Nordic power prices have come off during the morning session, after a firm opening on the back of soaring carbon prices. Prices for carbon allowances for 2006 soared all the way to EUR 21.50/tonne this morning, before easing off to a last trade at 17.00 at the ICE/ECX.
