The market opened further down this morning with most contracts settling 2-4 NOKs below yesterday’s closing levels. A Swedish trader believed today’s drop is a natural correction before the market starts heading north again, while a Norwegian producer was more bearish.
Some players obviously decided to get out of their positions after the strong Thursday system price of NOK/MWh 248.08 was presented yesterday. Consequently, the market traded down late in the afternoon with the forwards closing at their lowest level this week.
