Market - Dry Leaning

With a Monday system price well above expectations, the market gapped up accordingly, along with dry forecasts and “the Swedish condition.” An international trader saw NOK 180 as a realistic target from here, in particular with a close above NOK 175 today. A Swedish trader found NOK 180 to be the ceiling, for now.
High spot As the Monday spot was fixed at 147.34 NOK/MWh (+36.26), the market was lifted another level this morning, and Winter2 was traded up in the NOK 176s. Market - Bear today, gone tomorrow?
The Tuesday market opened correcting down, helped by weather outlooks pointing towards a possible low-pressure scenario at the end of the period, but mainly due to the great Monday gap. Traders today argue in favour of a strong spot ahead, however, along with an underlying bulltrend that lifts the autumn contract back to NOK 175/176.

Market - Bear today, gone tomorrow?
The Tuesday market opened correcting down, helped by weather outlooks pointing towards a possible low-pressure scenario at the end of the period, but mainly due to the great Monday gap. Nuclear revisions and the durability of a high pressure will decide market developments next week, according to Scandinavian traders. – The comfortable fundamental situation should not indicate a large upside on the Winter2, but I won’t rule out the possibilities of a financially driven rise, a Norwegian trader said.
