Commodities - Still firm

Although Monday was a relatively slow day in the oil, gas and carbon markets, prices remained firm, with oil and carbon in particluar showing slight gains day on day.
Crude oil prices firmed on Monday on supply concerns in the Middle East, the North Sea and inEcuador. In addition there are also worries over a possible hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico; so much so that market sentiment remains bullish.In New York, Nymex West Texas Intermediate for September delivery had climbed 10 cents to USD 65.45 a barrel, while in London ; Brent crude for October del

The UK NBP market moved south in Tuesday´s trading session, as did coal prices. Oil recovered from early retreat to end the day slightly firmer, while the European carbon market continues in a narrow range.

Commodities - Oil recovers
Having fallen for most of last week, oil prices made a strong recovery on Friday seeing the front month at Nymex finishing up more than two dollars at 65.35 USD/barrel. Gas and coal also gained in value on Friday while CO2 did not move much from the previous two sessions.
