Brent crude oil prices are rising on Wednesday morning ahead of the Opec meeting later today and following a stock market rally after the US Federal Reserve slashed interest rates to near zero on Tuesday.
The front-month February contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 47.58/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.93 on Tuesday`s close. In New York, the WTI January contract was quoted up 68 cents at USD 44.28/bbl.
