Crude oil prices are firming slightly Friday morning, after dropping to an 18-month low yesterday on strong inventory figures. Carbon and coal prices also slipped yesterday, while gas prices rose.
Brent crude for February closed at USD 55.59 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange yesterday, which is the lowest close since 15 June, 2005, according to Bloomberg.On the London-based ICE, the front Brent closed at USD 54.90 a barrel yesterday, and was last traded at 55.45 a barrel Friday morning.U.S. oil inventory figures showed a decrease of 1.3 million barrels to 319.7 m
