Commodities - Oil falls sharply to below 50

Oil prices took a tumble on Thursday settling well below the USD50/bbl mark, and while the falls in other commodities was not so sharp, the movement was still downwards.
Oil prices dropped sharply on Thursday to settle below USD 50 a barrel, on falling demand, a strengthening dollar and healthy stockpiles in the US. In New York, crude dropped 1.91 to settle at 48.54, while in London the June contract at the IPE fell 1.73 to settle at 48.34.Analyst disagree over the long-term prospects of oil prices. Commodities - Oil drops on strong US inventory figures
Oil prices moved downwards on Wednesday after the relase of healthy stock pile figures in the US. However, the market remains bullish according to players. Coal and gas also dropped, while carbon saw a relatively quiet trading session.
