Oil prices firmed on Tuesday, ahead of an update of the current US oil stock data from the Energy Information Agency. Also carbon gained value with trades of up to EU 17/t.
Oil prices moved upwards on Tuesday, after hitting three month lows on Monday. At NYMEX, crude oil with June delivery settled at USD 48.97/bbl on Tuesday, up 0.36 day-on-day. On its expiry date, the June contract was fixed at 48.05 on Monday, representing the lowest price in a front contract since the 21 February, when it settled at 46.73.
