Oil, carbon and German power saw new record levels yesterday. Coal prices increased as well, while gas prices eased off.
EUAs for December 2006 delivery hit a new record high of EUR 29.65/tonne Tuesday, as strong oil and German power prices underpinned healthy buying interest.The contract opened at EUR 29.50, fell to 29.10 before increasing above the previous high of 29.45 seen in July 2005, and then peaked at 29.65 around midday.
