The price of Brent crude oil has been propelled upwards by almost five dollars since the beginning of the month, and is currently trading comfortably above the 71 mark on a host of supply concerns.
Front month Brent crude settled at USD 66.84/barrel on 3 April, the first trading day of the new month. One week later, the contract settled at 68.75, and on Monday this week it settled at 71.46.
