It was a bullish day in the fuel markets yesterday while in the carbon market, early gains were offset by increased selling interest from financial players in the afternoon.
In New York, the WTI crude oil February contract settled up USD 1.24 at USD 96.33 a barrel after having traded in a range of USD 95.26-97.54. The corresponding contract in London gained USD 1.15 to end the day at USD 95.54. The contract had earlier peaked at USD 96.69.
