The carbon market continued its bullish run on Monday, reaching a six-month high of EUR 24.00/tonne. Gas and coal gained strongly while oil moved in the opposite direction.
After reaching EUR 24.00/tonne yesterday, the benchmark December 2008 carbon contract fell back to a settlement price of EUR 23.66/tonne on the ECX/ICE platform, which is still 11 cents higher than the previous days close.
