Nordic forward contracts opened down across the board on Tuesday, as mild weather forecasts are likely to keep a lid on consumption in the weeks ahead.
The front quarter was last seen at EUR 41.10/MWh, down EUR 1.75 from Monday's settlement. "The market has fallen lower than expected today, and there are no direct fundamental factors that motivate the drop,” said Andreas Persson, trader at Swedish supplier Telge Kraft, adding that the weather seemed to be the main driver for the weak market opening.
