The Nordic power market opened weak early on Wednesday, but turned upward on drier weather forecasts and reports that Opec would cut oil production.
The front quarter, Q109, opened down 5 cents from Tuesday at EUR 40.55/MWh, but was last seen at EUR 41.05/MWh.
"Somewhat drier weather has been forecast for next week, and this is pushing the price up slightly,” said Stein Erik Iversen, trader at Norwegian utility BKK.
Still, the weather forecasts remain mild and wet, with Storm Weather Centre forecasting around 7
