Despite closing down, oil prices remain strong on the back of production cuts in the North Sea due to extreme weather.
Disruptions to North Sea production caused oil prices to rise on Thursday, but prices closed down at the end of the day. In London, the Brent front month settled down 54 cents at USD 92.70 a barrel, while in New York the Nymex December West Texas Intermediate ended the day at USD 95.46 a barrel.
