Oil prices have dipped below USD 74/bbl on Tuesday morning as traders "took positions off the table” amid equity losses and a decrease in risk appetite, said traders.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 74.11/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.26 on Monday's close.
The Brent August contract closed at USD 74.37/bbl on Monday, USD 1.05 lower compared with Friday's close, while the WTI August contract on Nymex in New York closed USD 1.14 down to USD 74.95/bbl.
