Carbon prices plummeted again on Friday as the registry which holds all the verified emissions data for European installations published data which showed the EU ETS market to be 67.5m tonnes long in 2005.
The December 2006 contract opened at EUR 12.50 but plunged to a closing price of around EUR 9.00, as data from 20 countries was made available on the CITL site on Friday instead of on Monday.
