The front end of the Nordic power curve is dropping on Wednesday morning on the back of wet forecasts, while macroeconomic anxieties are causing jitters further out.
The Q1 12 contract was last traded at EUR 45.30/MWh, down EUR 0.50 day on day, while the November contract has shed EUR 0.50 to EUR 43.00/MWh. The front week had meanwhile fallen by EUR 1.16 to EUR 38.00/MWh. "The weather outlook is wetter, causing a price drop across the board, with softer German power contributing to a weaker back end of the curve,” a Danish trader said.
