The Q2 11 Nordic power contract has reached a new record of EUR 59.75/MWh on Monday, beating the old record of EUR 58.90 from 8 December, amid continuous dry and cold weather forecasts.
The contract was last seen at EUR 59.10/MWh, up EUR 1.95 from Thursday, which was the last trading day before Christmas. "The Q2 is rising because players realize that the hydropower reservoir situation will remain bad when we approach the spring and summer,” said a Finnish trader.
