Monday opened slightly weaker than Friday and fell another couple of NOKs during the morning, but remained in familiar waters as far as prices are concerned. Generally little has changed over the weekend, a Swedish trader said, who nonetheless was a little surprised that the morning marked weakened rather than strengthened. Precipitation was delivered during the weekend, a Norwegian trader pointed out, but added that the present inflow veils winter prices.
The week started off bearish, as weather forecasts are not dry. Rain has arrived, and Saturday some 725 GWh was delivered, Sunday 1.1 TWh. One estimate Friday was a weekend delivery of 1.7 TWh, according to the Norwegian trader, and at any rate the rain that has come the last 48 hours is nicely above normal.
