Coal prices continued down on Friday, prompting further rises in carbon prices. Upswings in prices were also seen in the oil and gas markets at the end of the week.
Crude oil prices rose last week on declining US fuel stockpiles and on concern that the car bombings in the UK will increase global security concerns.Crude oil for August delivery rose USD 1.11 to USD 70.68/barrel on Friday, which is the highest close since 25 August.
