Nordic Market - Years lifted by CO2

Forecasts are still wet, bringing the front prices a touch further down. Meanwhile, a rise in the CO2 prices for 2008 has lifted the year contract.
The contract for year 2008 has gained 45 cents to last trade at EUR 44.30/MWh at Nord Pool.“The long end is strengthening, merely due to higher carbon prices. The CO2 price for 2008 rose quite a bit yesterday afternoon, and has continued this morning,” says Nils Petter Benjaminsen at Eidsiva Energi.Carbon allowances for December 2008 were last traded at EUR 23.05/tonne
