Nordic forward prices have fallen considerably on the back of wet and mild forecasts. Meanwhile, plenty of wind and a public holiday in parts of Germany are expected to even out the effects of colder temperatures in tomorrow’s spot price.
Cold outlooks pushed up the forwards at the end of last week. But today the forecasts are once again wetter and milder than normal for the 10-day period, triggering a sharp fall particularly in the front end of the curve. The week ahead contract is down more than five euros, November is down 3.50 while the benchmark Q1-07 contract has been pushed all the way down to EUR 63.50 (-4.10).
