Nordic Market - Winter not over

Cold and dry forecasts push Nordic prices further upwards Wednesday morning. Both Q2-06 and YR-07 have reached the EUR 44 mark.
“The market finally seems to have gained speed. I expect prices to continue up, but it will probably get more volatile at these levels. Ï see a further potential for YR-07, while I am not so sure about Q2-06,” one trader says.If the snow reservoirs are as low as some analysts say, the melting will probably be over before the second quarter, and then we will see the producers

Cold forecasts have pushed up prices in the front end of the curve, with week 9 gaining more than 10 EUR in a week. The front week is gaining slightly this morning as well, while the rest of the curve is easing off.

Nordic Market - Slight falls
Prices continued up at the opening, but have come off during the morning session. Profit taking could be one of the reasons why prices are currently around 30 cents below yesterday’s close.
