Nordic forwards are softening on Wednesday morning due to weaker German power, but winter contracts remain underpriced on recession fears, a trader said.
The Q4 contract had shed EUR 0.30 day on day at EUR 46.85/MWh, while YR 11 had lost EUR 0.15 at EUR 42.85/MWh. Weather forecasts remained wetter than average, but had turned slightly drier from Tuesday. "A lack of an upward momentum for German power and CO2 have had a knock-on effect on Nord Pool,” a Finnish trader said.
