Nordic forward prices are weakening on Friday morning due to falling German power prices, a weaker fuel complex and wetter weather forecasts, traders said.
The Q1 11 contract last traded at EUR 50.00/MWh at Nord Pool, down EUR 0.45 from Thursday, while the 2011 contract last traded at EUR 45.10/MWh, down EUR 0.20. "Oil and German power prices are weakening. The weather forecasts are also a bit wetter, and next week we could get quite a lot of precipitation and higher temperatures,” said Kjell Idar Saure, trader at Norwegian utility Tussa.
