The front end of the Nordic power curve is subdued by wet long term forecasts on Wednesday, while prices further out are rising on the back of yesterday's recovery in fuels and CO2 prices.
The August contract was last seen at EUR 45.20/MWh, down 18 cents day on day, while the Q4 11 contract was up 25 cents at EUR 51.00/MWh and the Year 2012 contract had gained 25 cents to EUR 47.30/MWh. "The weather forecasts are wetter today, but further out on the curve prices are rising as a reaction of the recovery we saw in CO2 and fuels prices yesterday,” said a Norwegian trader.
