Nordic Market - "Weekend spot prices could collapse"

Weekend spot prices could collapse in the coming weeks if the wet and mild weather continues, market players told Montel on Wednesday.
"If the wet weather trend continues for a few weeks we could see very low weekend spot prices down towards EUR 10/MWh. There will be increased nuclear production in Sweden, along with high wind power production and low consumption both due to mild weather and the Christmas holiday. There is a great risk of negative prices at the weekends in the short term,” said a Swedish trader.
