The summer contract traded below 155 NOK/MWh early this morning, but has later adjusted above 158 after the forecasts turned a bit drier. A Norwegian trader says the spot has to soften before the summer drops further.
“I think the hydrological situation suggests a lower price in the summer contract, possibly around 150 NOK/MWh. But at the moment it is held up by a strong spot, and it won’t drop further until the spot shows more weakness,” says trader Dagfinn Eikseth at Istad Kraft.The system price is likely to fall some 7 NOK to around 190 for tomorrow due to more bearish fundamental
