Somewhat drier and colder weather forecasts are pushing up Nordic prices Tuesday morning.
The front quarter opened at EUR 52/MWh, before climbing to EUR 52.75. One analyst commented that the weather forecasts early this morning were quite mild and wet, and in addition, coal and gas prices retreated yesterday. Consequently, he did not expect prices to rise. "However, prices are firming, which is probably due to the latest forecasts being a bit colder next week," he said.
