Nordic Market - Up, but for how long?

Nordic power prices are gaining slightly today. Still, market players believe prices will head south again. Although a bit drier than yesterday, the forecasts still predict more rain than normal, sending bearish signals to the spot market.

Forward prices at Nord Pool opened down this morning on primarily wetter forecasts. In addition, German forward prices are softer. V2-05 has lost 5.75 NOK to a last trade of 273.50 NOK/MWh.
