The front quarter Nordic power contract is trading sideways on low volumes on Monday, as wetter forecasts are canceling out rising fuel prices following an agreement to raise the US debt ceiling.
The Q4 11 contract was down 15 cents day on day at EUR 50.30/MWh, following an initial price increase earlier on Monday. The initial price rise was attributed to stronger fuel prices, market players said, after the US president Barack Obama on Sunday announced a compromise deal over plans to raise the country's debt ceiling.
