Nordic Market - Temporary downside

The market opened down but strengthened throughout the morning session. Uncertainty regarding the placing of the low turned the market around this morning, a Norwegian player said, but he and a Swedish player both argued that prices would continue down for a while.
- Right now the spot is under pressure and inflows are increasing during the weekend, affecting even the NO1 price. Some time after the weekend I think we’ll see the spot fixed at around 240 NOK/MWh on weekdays, while this weekend it could come down towards 230 NOK/MWh. The downside is only temporary, however, and as the snow melting eventually comes to an end prices will either flatten o

A dry weather forecast did not manage to lift the market much this morning. “It’s weak,” a Swedish trader said. “It could go either way,” a Norwegian trader argued.
