The long end of the power curve is firming on Tuesday morning on the back of stronger coal prices and German forwards, traders said.
The 2011 contract was last seen at EUR 45.50/MWh on Nord Pool, up EUR 0.25 from Friday, though the Q3 contract last traded at EUR 47.65/MWh, down EUR 0.20. "The signals are a bit mixed. German forwards, coal and CO2 prices had a strong day yesterday, and this is lifting the long end of the curve on Nord Pool today,” said a Norwegian trader.
