Prices on the Nordic power curve are rising on Thursday morning on the back of strong coal and emissions prices, players said.
The YR 10 contract at Nord Pool was last seen at EUR 36.95/MWh, up 40 cents day on day, while Q4 09 last traded at EUR 38.25/MWh, up 30 cents.
"The market opened surprisingly strongly, bearing in mind the sharp fall in oil yesterday evening," said Henning Nymann, trader at Norwegian utility Trønderenergi.
