Nordic Market - Still significant upside for YR-09

A strengthening fuel complex gave impetus to the long end of the curve, with the front year reaching all-time highs. Meanwhile, the front quarter continues to ease off on wetter weather forecasts.
With coal prices having stiffened faster than power prices recently, a Finnish trader emphasised a significant remaining upside on YR-09. "Strong coal and CO2 are pulling up the year ahead. With all markets going up this rapidly, there is a risk of rebound. But gas is still expensive compared to coal, offering a potential for higher CO2 prices."YR-09 opened at a new all time high of EUR
