While stronger oil and CO2 prices are lifting the front year contract at Nord Pool on Monday, the Q3 09 contract has opened down on the back of wetter weather forecasts, players said.
The front quarter was last seen at EUR 34.40/MWh, down 15 cents from Thursday, which was the last trading day at Nord Pool because of the 1 May public holiday on Friday.
"The weather forecasts are much wetter than they were before the long weekend. That is putting downward pressure on the front and is also limiting the price rise further out on the curve,” said Andreas Per
