Nordic Market - "Spot prices could plunge next week"

Nordic spot prices are expected to drop well below EUR 30/MWh amid a public holiday on Thursday, and are likely to drop even lower next week as the weather turns milder, market players said.
The day-ahead contract at Nasdaq OMX was last seen quoted in a EUR 25.25-26.50/MWh spread, indicating a sharp fall from Wednesday's system price of EUR 32.25/MWh. "It is a public holiday tomorrow, which will reduce consumption anywhere between 2,500 MW and 4,500 MW.
