Due to closing of positions and an increased fear of less precipitation than expected, prices in the Nordic market rose in the morning hours.
"This is more of a technical phenomenon than fundamental. Many are closing their positions before the weekend and some players also see a high pressure between the lows in the forecasts. The Q4-07 contract opened below the EUR 36/MWh level this morning, and with the forecasts predicting almost twice as much precipitation as normal the next 10 days players expect prices to continue down.
