The activity in the Nordic market is limited Monday morning. V2-05 opened rather firm, but has softened during the forenoon trading session.
The autumn contract was traded at 306 NOK/MWh at Nord Pool earlier today, before coming off to 300.75. The contract last changed hands at 302 NOK/MWh, down 2 NOK from Friday.
“The market is quiet, and V2-05 is traded back and forth depending on the traders’ current interests. The forecasts are still wetter than normal, while German prices are staying at around Friday’s levels, in spite of the soaring oil prices. Today’s Bank Holiday in theUK is probably influencing the activity in all of the markets today,” says a Swedish trader.
